During the second quarter of 2022, the top 5 communication apps on the Android platform in the United Arab Emirates showed varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a comprehensive look at the performance of these apps.

WhatsApp Business saw a significant fluctuation in weekly downloads, peaking at around 129K in mid-April and mid-May. Active users showed a steady increase from 1.3M at the start of the quarter to over 1.5M by the end of June.

Vava VPN experienced a dramatic rise in weekly downloads, reaching up to 142K in late May. This surge was mirrored in weekly active users, which grew from approximately 58K at the beginning of the quarter to over 109K by the end. Revenue also increased notably, peaking at $126 in the week of June 20.

Snapchat had a stable performance in terms of weekly downloads, with a notable peak of 136K in early May. Active users consistently grew from 939K in late March to around 1.1M by the end of June.
